What is ISO 14001?

The International Organization of Standards, (ISO) is a worldwide organization that develops many different kinds of standards. One of these standards, ISO 9001, defines the requirements of a Quality Management System (QMS) Standard.

Similarly, ISO 14001 defines the requirements of an Environmental Management System (EMS). It contains many of the same requirements of ISO 9001 and is often integrated with ISO 9001.
